Job Title: Stock Control Operative
Reports To: Stock Control Team Leader

Role Summary:
At Charles Tyrwhitt our purpose is to “Make it easy for men to dress well”. The primary purpose of a Stock Control Operative is to maintain the stock accuracy in the warehouse to a very high level at all times and maximise the availability of stock for the customer to order. To be part of the team delivering a high degree of stock integrity through identifying discrepancies and acting upon them efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
To investigate, resolve and report on stock exceptions and picking issues*
To check, repack when required, sort and put away stock recording all movements and adjustments*
To carry out and report on stock counts (stock & packaging)*
To execute stock movements in the pick face ensuring availability of locations at all times*
To identify patterns and trends through thorough investigations of each problem, escalating issues to the Stock Control Team Leader*
To deliver some stock administration tasks as and when required*
To work closely with Stock Control Team Leader in delivering constant improvement in stock control*
To work with colleagues to ensure all areas in the warehouse are kept clean and tidy at all times to maintain a safe working environment*

Person Specification:
Experience Required
General warehouse experience advantageous*
Pervious stock counting or control experience preferred but not necessary*

Very good written and verbal communication skills*

Team and customer first approach*
Technical Skills
IT Literate, comfortable on the MS Office package*
Very good numerical ability and attention to detail*
