Role Summary:

 

At Charles Tyrwhitt our purpose is to “Make it easy for men to dress well”. The primary purpose of the Senior Online Merchandiser is to ensure that the online merchandising is specific to a given market, identifying opportunities, and working closely with the marketing department to prioritise activities. The Senior Online Merchandiser will analyse the customer journey, proposing improvements for an optimised experience and own the merchandising of a given site/sites using testing and visual merchandising techniques. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

*       Completes weekly performance and trade reporting to identify multi-faceted optimisation opportunities

*       Independently works to develop optimization concepts into projects and relevant business information

*       Maximize site performance in the short-term through day-to-day activities, as well longer-term via AB testing and new technologies

*       Regularly review the quality of work to always maintain site standards and be a team contact for quality assurance

*       Supports strategy development for the Online Merch team aligned to overall business goals

*       Manages projects within the Online Merch team to maximise trade and online experience

*       Coordinates cross-functionally to gather all requirements for site campaigns and activities

*       Influence the messaging and linking strategy across channels according to trade and business focuses

*       Responsible for the management and development of direct report/s

*       Builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

*       Works closely with Creative, Buying & Merchandising, Marketing, IT & UX teams

 

Person Specification:

 

Experience Required

*       Background/experience working in a menswear brand or managing the menswear category within a multi category retailer is preferable

*       Demonstrable experience within e-commerce/online merchandising
