Role Summary:

 

At Charles Tyrwhitt our purpose is to “Make it easy for men to dress well”. The primary purpose of the Senior Sales Assistant is to generate and maximise sales by consistently offering exceptional customer service. In the absence of any other management the Senior Sales Assistant will assume additional responsibilities of opening and closing of the store and ensuring the store, people and operations trades safely and legally.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

*       Maximise sales opportunities to ensure sales targets and KPIs are achieved and exceeded e.g. promotions, outfit building, up & cross selling, corporate sales, events

*       Consistently deliver CT’s customer service expectation by ensuring expert product knowledge, ensuring you are up to date with the latest store ranges and promotions

*       Being one of the top sellers in store, with a clear focus of achieving sales targets through mentoring the team and successfully maximising sales opportunities

*       Taking the lead with CT Custom and effectively building relationships with customers and third parties

*       Taking ownership with customer and wedding appointments

*       Develop the brand name and image of the company through acting as a brand ambassador for the CT brand

*       Deliver high visual merchandising standards; ensuring the store housekeeping standards are continually achieved adhering to VM guidelines

*       Process deliveries, transfers and merchandise quickly, accurately and efficiently ensuring merchandise is properly handled, labelled and priced to minimise losses and damage

*       Taking ownership for your personal development, proactively seeking opportunities to grow, utilising internal tools on The LINK

*       Taking ownership for inducting and training new starters, and assists the Supervisor with the coaching Sales Assistants

*       Adherence to company health & safety guidelines and security processes

*       In the absence of any other management, assuming managerial responsibilities including, ensuring the smooth trade of the store, supporting team members deployment and training, responding to emails and phone calls, cashing up, security processes, responsible for opening and closing the store and ensuring that the store trades safely and legally

*       Comply with all company policy and procedures and adherence to company health & safety guidelines and security processes

*       High levels of enthusiasm, drive and motivation. Able to sense the mood of the team, motivate self and team to success

*       Strong interpersonal and communication skills

*       Ability to quickly build rapport with customers and provide a highly personalised approach to customer interaction

Experience

*       1 years previous retail experience

 

Technical Skills

*       Tailoring experience an advantage but not essential

Language skills an advantage but not essential
