The Role
At Charles Tyrwhitt our purpose is to “Make it easy for men to dress well” and we can’t do that without our specialist teams. This time, we’re on the lookout for a Cyber Security Engineer who will be working with Doug from our IT team.
What you will be doing
As Cyber Security Engineer with Charles Tyrwhitt, the focus of your role will be to ensure the safety and security of our customers data, our internal and external network and devices as well as our data and systems. Alongside this, you will work with our HR team to ensure appropriate user awareness training (including phishing campaigns) is in place as well as with our Infrastructure and Business System teams to ensure alignment to our cyber roadmap and goals. You will assess and update how we identify the risks in our environment (vulnerability management and understanding the risk landscape) and look after our incident response plan, how we deal with incidents, and how we recover from them. You will also be comfortable with covering other 3rd line Infrastructure duties, working closely alongside the Infrastructure Engineer as and when required.
What we are looking for
You have previous experience working in a Security Engineer role responsible for implementing security best practice and change as well as strong networking and Windows server/Microsoft 365 experience. You are passionate about security but also strongly pragmatic, are able to communicate effectively without technical jargon and have a strong understanding of networking models, firewall rulesets, application security and internal & external network security. You are deeply technical and comfortable in the infrastructure space across Wintel, VMware, Cisco and other Microsoft technologies.

Once upon a shirt, Nicholas Charles Tyrwhitt Wheeler (whilst studying Geography at Bristol University – we might add) had the notion that he could make a better shirt at better value than anyone else in the world! He believed that all men; no matter their shape or size, where they may be in the world or indeed their budget; should be able to own a Jermyn Street quality shirt. A proper shirt. A CT shirt.
That was over 3 decades ago and whilst Charles Tyrwhitt (it rhymes with spirit by the way) is still famous for proper shirts, these days we are about so much more than collars and cuffs. Our purpose is to “make it easy for men to dress well”. We take care of a chap’s entire wardrobe, providing stylish solutions for every occasion. We make sure he gets what he wants, when and how he wants it.
Our spiritual home and flagship store is located on London’s famous Jermyn Street. Our Global Head Office is in London Bridge, whilst we also have an office in Manhattan to support our retail and online presence across North America, Europe and Australia. Not forgetting our Distribution Centre and Contact Centre in Milton Keynes.
